Rudolf Steiner spent many years of his life describing and trying to bring about a restructuring of society called social threefolding. Out of the social threefolding impulse, other initiatives – such as Waldorf education – arose. One might imagine social threefolding as the healthy social environment in which a free spiritual-cultural life, a fair rights life, and a prosperous economic life based on mutual service allow other positive initiatives to unfold and succeed. Without this healthy social environment, we necessarily face insurmountable obstacles. So social threefolding must be a top priority for all those who support anthroposophical endeavours – and for everyone who cares about future generations.
