Collaborative Study of Rudolf Steiner’s Book about Social Threefolding

Starting in September, we will meet on a weekly basis to read and discuss the most relevant parts of Rudolf Steiner’s 1919 book about social threefolding, The Core Points of the Social Question, also known as Towards Social Renewal. We will focus on how Steiner’s social ideas apply in a practical way to our current societal situation – to the here and now. What can we do, in our present circumstances, to create a healthier future society?

Social threefolding represents a novel conception for how a future society might be organized, in a way that is more healthy than our current “unitary” society. For more about social threefolding:

Each two-hour online session will consist of reading, discussion, and exploring practical examples, and will end with a brief meeting review. Although reading outside of the weekly zoom times is not required, participants who wish to volunteer will be invited to present brief summaries of each previous session.

No prior knowledge of Rudolf Steiner’s works is necessary – absolute beginners are welcome!

The study group is free of charge. However, places are limited in order to ensure that everyone can participate in discussions. So register early to grab your spot!

Although there is no fee, participants will be expected to support us by purchasing the brand-new translation of Steiner’s book – titled The Core Points of the Social Question (Collected Works Nr. 23) – which will be published early this summer by Truth Phenomena Publishing.

Each two-hour session starts promptly at 7:00 pm Eastern / 4:00 pm Pacific time and ends on time at 9:00 pm Eastern / 6:00 pm Pacific. The sessions themselves will focus on study, so if you wish to chat and socialize a bit at the beginning, be sure to join the zoom session up to 15 minutes prior to the official start time.

Note that sessions will be recorded, but recordings will only be made available to current participants and will not be published.

This course is a must-attend for those wishing to understand or deepen their understanding of Social Threefolding. Mike has the ability to help “unpack” Rudolf Steiner’s ideas in a very clear, approachable, methodical way. The group setting is structured yet casual and everyone’s views are welcome.
